I put together some sketches together of the whole building and row of that section of the high-street, however the client wanted the office to have more of a straight on perspective rather than at an angle. The client also mentioned that they wanted a a less ‘sketchy’ feel. They wanted the final image to be far more detailed and to show more of the office interior to be on display, rather than the whole row of businesses.

Julian Wadden Estate Agents have recently opened a new office premises in Didsbury Village. I was asked to create an Artist Impression of the new office with a description of the proposed layout. When I first visited the shop front it was in a white washed state, so it was quite difficult to envision the layout and depth. Here are the reference photos I used and the sketch I put together.

Shortly I will be starting Illustrations for a limited edition run of iconic / cult films!
The pieces will all take inspiration from Caspar David Friedrich’s 19th Century Masterpiece ‘The Wanderer above the Sea of Fog,’ which is one of my favourites below! All the illustrations will have the third person viewpoint.

My Sketch I did of the Bull picture, I actually prefer this to the finished poster. I tapered all the lines so it had a swooping “Al Hirschfeld” look about it.

I was kindly asked by a friend to produce a portrait for a Birthday present. I only had one high contrast camera photo as reference so much of it was guess work and making things up. I spent hours drawing and re-drawing the eyes as this was the most dominant part of the image I was given. I made up the hair and added a variety of colours.
